Merry Christmas, everybody! I'm so grateful this holiday season to spend time with family and friends and be filled warmth and good cheer. Like so many Americans and Christians around the world, my family celebrates the birth of Jesus and the principles He demonstrated throughout His life. Treating one another with compassion and love, caring for the sick, uplifting the stranger in need, and simple but profound acts of kindness are all part of the spirit that binds us together not only as Christians but as Americans and people across multiple faiths. It's what the holidays are all about, coming together as one family and One Jefferson County to cherish the values we hold so dear.

This holiday season, I encourage you to reach out to those around you that are struggling or hurting and offer them help and prayers. Let's also remember those serving our country and pray that they make it home safely to be reunited with their families. Now is the perfect time to celebrate our many blessings. From the bottom of my heart I thank you, the citizens of Jefferson County, for entrusting me with the responsibility of this office. It is a privilege and honor to serve you. I thank all the employees of Jefferson County for stepping forward to work on behalf of this county we love. Your good work has never been more important. I'm so grateful for what we have accomplished together and the bright future that awaits us.

It's my prayer that the spirit of the season and God's love will be with the people of this county, this state and our nation. Wishing you and yours a safe and joyful holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
